Sin City Muscle Cars Is A Garage Suite Of The Most Incredible Mustang Restorations – Feature Article on Hotcars.com – by Harrison Lee

The limited life expectancy of a classic car should not surprise any enthusiast. This is why restoration garages like Sin City Muscle Cars are so important. Thanks to them, a handful of classic American muscle cars will remain in good care for years to come.

Sin City’s limited collection is not currently available for a public showcase. Yet, car enthusiast and YouTuber JC Fernandez recently documented an insight into the contents of their garage. Upon first entering, the heaven composed of Mustangs and Camaros was no exaggeration. Sin City does not possess the largest muscle car collection. Yet, each model remains in the utmost mint condition and maintains its original integrity.

One of Sin City’s partners, Rebecca, explained how each car in the garage was restored or is currently being restored for the Special Equipment Market Association (SEMA) events. Sin City purchases these cars all over the country from owners who hadn’t finished their own restoration projects or simply lost interest in restoration.

Once Sin City finishes a project, the car either moves to other collections or lives in this garage. Rebecca points out that each car in Sin City’s garage, whether on a lift or parking space, is continuously driven and maintained to avoid becoming museum pieces.

Nevertheless, many of Sin City’s cars have gone on to star at SEMA. Lexi, a completely custom-built blue first-gen Ford Mustang Fastback was Sin City’s SEMA 2021 entry. Lexi’s interior, instruments, engine bay, and underside are all detailed.

Similarly, Ivy, a green Mustang Fastback carries modern amenities and pays tribute to Steve McQueen’s Bullitt Mustang. In contrast, a darker blue Mustang named One on One retains its original condition because its factory specifications were exclusive to the car.

The more sentimental models include an orange Plymouth Barracuda once belonging to Rebecca’s brother-in-law. There’s also a blue first-generation Chevy Camaro, rebuilt four separate times starting when Rebecca’s partner was 16. The Camaro was one of their first hobbies that evolved into her Sin City career.

Further into the garage, it’s clear there is a major emphasis on restoring classic Mustang models for upcoming SEMA events. A white Mustang in the main showroom awaits paint corrections and an eventual rebuild. Two more Mustangs await their rebuilds in the operating room. The parts room revealed the complexities behind these restorations and the expensive inventory required during ongoing parts shortages.

Sin City hopes to eventually expand to accept restoration requests. Until then, their projects intended for the next SEMA event are coming up fast in November. Rebecca expresses that the priority to complete a proper restoration is greater than meeting any deadline. Phil, the man behind Muscle Cars At The Strip, also emphasizes Sin City’s focus above all else to bring classic car enthusiasts and their vehicles together at these upcoming Las Vegas events.
